THOR Simulation

Capture a physical scene once, then recreate and vary it at software speed.

Simulation can change lighting, objects, positions and physics without rebuilding the physical setup. Because the simulator already knows the scene configuration, robot state and task outcome, much of the ground truth arrives with the episode instead of being added frame by frame.

THOR SimulationSimulation eliminates annotation costs and provides an environment for model training and testing
What simulation does
  1. Capture once

A real scene is recorded through the network, the expensive way, exactly once.

  2. Recreate

SimArena rebuilds that physical scene as a browser-native simulation.

  3. Vary

Lighting, objects, positions and physics change. Every variation is a new episode.

Simulation data removes the need for frame-by-frame human annotation

A simulated scene already knows the scene configuration, robot state, actions, sensor readings, object positions and task outcomes for each episode.
